I fought against that from the beginning.  My PMI member # is 34.  Planalog’s biggest market was chemical plant and electric utility turnaround maintenance.  You had to know that business to run that type of project. Anyone would be crazy to hire a construction project manager to run an IT project and visa-versa.  I could teach the basics of PM to anyone but they had to apply it to their business.  Bob in Rockville Md.
